It all begins with inspiration.
Based in Atlanta, Cheryl wears the hats of both photographer and painter. From her early days, Cheryl was drawn to drawing and painting, but the allure of black-and-white photography truly captivated her.
What sets Cheryl apart is her seamless fusion of her dual passions. She hand-colors her photographs using oil, watercolor, acrylic, and pencil, resulting in mesmerizing compositions that speak volumes about movement, composition, and color.
Her art isn't just about what you see; it's about the stories it evokes within you. Cheryl crafts her work to allow viewers to embark on their narrative journey.
Despite temporarily setting aside her artistic pursuits to raise her sons and pursue a career in the dynamic worlds of music and media, Cheryl's vision of being an artist never waned. Encouragement from her husband Mike, sons Max and Seth (an accomplished photographer in his own right), and her parents finally fueled her decision to pursue her passion for art full-time.
Cheryl's story is one of perseverance, creativity, and unwavering support from loved ones. Her dedication to her craft shines through in every brushstroke and snapshot, leaving a lasting impression on those who encounter her work.
The Intention and Vision
Cheryl’s intention is to be a custom art resource for Interior Designers. Her art and approach are unique. She is delighted to customize her hand-painted photography to work within a specific design project. Pigments can be transformed. Pieces can be created as a series.
